Privacy Policy – Real Estate Profitability Analyzer

This privacy policy applies to the Real Estate Profitability Analyzer Chrome extension (“the extension”).

What the extension does

The extension has a single purpose: to analyze Zillow for-sale listing pages and show you profitability metrics (such as Cap Rate, Cash-on-Cash Return, and Net Operating Income) in a popup. It does not collect, sell, or share your personal data.

Data we do not collect

The extension does not collect:

• Personally identifiable information (name, address, email, age, ID, etc.)
• Web history or browsing history
• User activity (clicks, scroll, keystrokes, etc.)
• Financial or payment information
• Authentication information (passwords, credentials)
• Personal communications (email, messages)
• Health information

How the extension uses data

When you open the extension on a listing page:

• Listing data (e.g. price, address, rent estimate, beds, baths) is read from the Zillow listing page only. This data is used only inside your browser to calculate and display metrics in the extension popup. It is not sent to our servers or any third party.
• Your preferences (vacancy rate, operating expense ratio, down payment, interest rate, loan term) are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They are not transmitted or shared.

All processing happens locally in your browser. We do not have servers that receive or store your data.

Permissions

The extension requests:

• activeTab – to access the currently open tab when you click the extension, so it can read the listing page and show metrics.
• scripting – to run the extension’s own script on the listing page when you open the extension. No remote or external code is loaded.
• Host access – only for Zillow pages (e.g. https://www.zillow.com/*), so the extension can work on Zillow for-sale listings. It does not access other websites.

No selling or sharing of data

We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties. We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose (real estate profitability analysis). We do not use or transfer user data for creditworthiness or lending purposes.

No remote code

The extension does not load or execute code from the internet. All code is included in the extension package you install from the Chrome Web Store.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
